16th End of Season Party

On 11 January we had our annual party to celebrate the end of 16th Season of Sonic at Aberdeen Marina Club in Hong Kong. It was a fun filling evening and seeing all the familiar faces of Sonic coming together feel like a home coming.

We have a quick wrap up of 2019: We had a few workshop and crossover training for SwimRun with Beyond The Line, inviting TriP coming to Shek O, and NSA coming to Repulse; Making new friends and learning from each others; On coaching, we have Gigi become a certified swimming coach and David become a ITU International Triathlon coach. We maintain our active presence in the local and regional triathlon/IRONMAN circle, racing and winning on podium from Hong Kong to LizZhou, Vietnam, Challenge World Championship in Slovakia and 70.3 World Championship at Nice, the team focus race in 70.3 Shanghai and Xiamen become the highest closing of the season. Jerry, Matthew and Rolen become the new IRONMAN 70.3 triathlete and Chloe and Janice won their qualification to 70.3 World Championship 2020 at Taupo.

Once again we need to say you Johnson for helping on such a wonderful dinner party venue; Alex and Chris for the support of the team.

Forward Looking 2020

We will elevate our quality at training and our own self leading to a better and stronger race performance. Coaches in Sonic will keep enhancing our knowledge and pass on to the team. We will look for more partnership, more seminar and workshop for knowledge sharing, and we will start working on the Thanyapura Training Camp in April.
